The Bay View Rail Corridor (the yellow line in the image below) was transferred to the Bay View Association by deed in 1983. The Rail Corridor consists of natural areas, green spaces, shoreline, and improved areas along the path that was previously encumbered by railroad tracks, ties and track bed.
" The Shoreline/Rail Corridor was divided into four (4) geographical sections for reviewing and planning namely:
1. Boulder Lane to the Pier/Waterfront
2. Existing Waterfront to the Pump House
3. Pump House to Reed Avenue
4. Reed Avenue to Division Street "
The above description of the Bay View Rail Corridor is from the Bay View Association’s Shoreline/Rail Corridor Master Plan adopted by the Association on July 28, 1997.
